Valley of the kings - The Latest Discoveries 1

In 1990, was the discovery of tomb number 5 in the
Valley Of The kings which is located in the east bank of the
Nile, this tomb related to the son of
Ramses II, this tomb was discovered by Kent that was mentioned in the book which called " The Lost Tomb ".
In 2006, was the discovery of tomb number 63, it was discovered by an American staff working at the University of Memphis, and this tomb is near the tomb of Tutankhamun. This tomb contained one room with seven coffins; this room looked as filling items of burial not a tomb.
The
Great explorer who had attempts of discovering the tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs in the
Valley of the Kings were: Giovanni Belzoni, Victor Loret, Theodore Davis, Howard Carter and others. Those people deserve a
Great respect and appreciation for their effort.

Valley Of The kings, you can find about 62 tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs, not all of them belonged to famous
pharaohs so I will show some of the most famous tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs inside The
Valley Of The kings, these tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs are: tomb number 62 which related to Tutankhamun. In 1922 the
ologist Howard Carter discovered this tomb, this tomb is small on its walls you can see some of the Manifestations of the life of Tutankhamun which was told that when he dead he was a teenager, his death occurred in the tomb. This tomb has a burial room which is small and was having another name which was “treasury ", this room has the mummified body of
pharaohs with its inner golden body, and wonderful treasures which have a sloping numbers. There were another tomb called an antechamber, this room has the items of the
Ancient ians which the
pharaohs will use in their afterlife, these items were food, couches, thrones, and dismantled chariots.

In 2007, the mummified body was faced
Great damage because of humidity that causes the transferring of the body to another side in the tomb without its coffin.

Every year, a lot of visitors come to see this
Great tomb of Tutankhamun which is considered the most famous tomb inside the
Valley of the Kings.

If you want to see the tomb of Tutankhamun, you must buy a ticket for that, this ticket give you the chance to visit other three tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs in The
Valley Of The kings, outside the tomb there are an information boards in all languages to help you to talk your decide, but if you have a tourist guides he will tell you about that so you will not need the information boards.
Remember that video cameras are forbidden inside The
Valley Of The kings, you can use a camera only but this camera is not allowed to use inside the tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs.

Tomb number 6 which related to
Ramses IX, this tomb is located in the middle of The
Valley Of The kings, between tomb number 5 and tomb number 55, its distance reach 105 meters inside the hills. This tomb has a lot of chambers but some of them were not finished until now. In tomb number 6 you can see its walls with their
Great images and views; also you can see the shape of rocks inside the tomb with its wonderful decoration.

Tomb number 19 which related to Mentuherkhepshef who was the son of
Ramses IX. This tomb is small, all visitors can see it, some of its room were not finished and it has a wonderful decoration.
Tomb number 8 which related to Memeptah, the son of
Ramses II. This tomb face a
Great damage because of floods but a lot of reliefs and paintings were rescued and they are in a good condition until now.
Tomb number 9 which related to
Ramses VI, who was the successor of
Ramses V. It is an important tomb in The
Valley Of The kings and it is one of the most completed tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs in The
Valley Of The kings as its rooms and decorations were finished.
Tomb number 17 which related to Seti I. In 1817, Giovanni Belzoni discovered this tomb. This tomb has another names which are : " the tomb of Apis, tomb of son of Necho, Belzoni's tomb, and the tomb of Psammis ". It is the biggest tomb in The
Valley Of The kings, its distance is meters. On the walls of the burial chamber in the tomb you can find a lot of paintings, reliefs and images from “The Book Of The Dead ". On this tomb you can find about ten rooms and seven corridors all of them are paintied and well decorated.
Tomb number 34 which related to Thutmose III which located in the remote part of the east bank in The
Valley Of The kings. The decorations of this tomb are very simple, exciting, and pleasant, represented on the the paintings and records on the walls. Its burial chamber is elliptical, when you enter the tomb you will go up the stairs then you will find yourself inside the tomb. There you can see walls with their wonderful inscriptions.
Tomb number 35 which related to Imhotep II. In 1897, the tomb was discovered by Victor Loret . It is a religion tomb, on its walls you can see a lot of religious paintings and scenes. This tomb and tomb of Tutankhamun are the only tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs where the
ologists found the mummified body of the
pharaohs. This had about 10 mummified bodies of
queens and kings and a lot of objects were they need on their afterlife . After the discovery of this tomb,
ologists left three mummies in the tomb and took other mumies to the
ian
Museum. The decoration of this tomb is really very fantastic.
Tomb number 57 which related to Horemheb who was on the 18th
. In this tomb you can find a burial chamber and a lot of rooms. This tomb has a lot of
Great decoration from the pharaoh’s age, these decorations are represented on the known paintings of the two blind harpists and other scenes from religion books which express the features of their life.

Valley Of The kings, there are a lot of tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs which are important although they were not famous , these tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs are : tomb number 1 which related to
Ramesses VII, tomb number 3 which related to the son of
Ramses III who his name unknown until now, tomb number 4 which related to
Ramses XI, tomb number 5 which related to the son of
Ramses II, this tomb has about 120 room and has a huge distance, tomb number 7 which related to
Ramses II, tomb number 10 which related to Amenmesse, tonb number 11 which related to
Ramses III, tomb number 13 which related to Amenherkhepshef and Mentuherkhepshef, tomb number 14 which related to Twosret, Tomb number 15 which related to
seti II, tomb number 16 which related to
Ramses I, tomb number 18
Ramses X, tomb number 20 which related to Hatshepsut and Thutmose I. tomb number 30 which related to Lord Belmore, tomb number 32 which related to Tia, tomb number 36 Maiherpri. tomb number 38 which related to Thutmose I, tomb number 39 which related to Amenhotep I, tomb number 41 which related to Tetisheri, tomb number 42 which related to Hatshepsut and Meryetre, tomb number 43 which related to Thutmose IV, tomb number 45 which related to Userhet, tomb number 46 which related to Yuya and Tjuyu, tomb number 47 which related to Siptah, tomb number 48 which related to Amenemopet, tomb number 50 which related to animals of Amenhotep II, tomb number 55 which related to Tiy and Smenkhkare, tomb number 56 which known as a golden tomb but its owners are unknown, tomb number 60 which related to Sitre.

Nile are : tomb number 22 which related to Amenhotep III, tomb number 23 which related to Ay, tomb number 25 which related to Akhenaten.
Although the
Valley of the kings has a lot of tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs with their
Great value but these tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs face a
Great troubles which were :
1- During the civil war, the tomb of
Ramses XI was affected by this war as a lot of its valuable objects were stolen from the tomb when the tombs in the
Valley of the kings of the
pharaohs opened.
2- In 1090, a lot of robbers appeared because of the collapse of the
ian Economy so a lot of robbers went to The
Valley Of The kings and stolen a lot of mummies with their coffins like the tomb of Amenhotep II.
